Abstract
The product thesis is made up of two parts: the accompanying document and the product itself. The accompanying document provides the background of, demonstrates the need for, and situates the manual within the context of Lesotho's 1992-1994 drought emergency. The product, The Lesotho Council of NGOs Field Manual for NGO Drought Emergency Response is a comprehensive manual based upon observations, interviews, and personal experience during the 1992-1994 Lesotho drought emergency. Research was also conducted during and after the emergency intervention.
