Abstract

This study is directed at showing how culture impacts management practices, and the importance of understanding culture in intercultural business interactions, by using two Latin American countries as the subject of the study. It shows how Brazil and Argentina, considered similar cultures by many people, relate in the business world.

It identifies the main forces that shape Brazilian and Argentinean cultures, management practice differences and similarities between the two countries, and difficulties in working together. Moreover, it shows how businesspeople from Brazil and Argentina overcome difficulties arising from cultural differences and gives suggestions on how they can address these difficulties.
