Abstract

The purpose of this Capstone is to evaluate Peace Corps-Macedonia's recruitment and site placement organizational processes, how recent Trainees and Volunteers have experienced them, and how they can be improved through more effective organizational communication. A literature review was conducted to research the causes for Volunteer attrition. The focus of the research was on engagement: how it is defined, how it influences organizational turnover and performance, what the drivers of engagement are, and what actions organizations can take to improve the engagement of employees and volunteers. The research of this Capstone focused on determining the level of satisfaction of recent Peace Corps-Macedonia Trainees and Volunteers with the recruitment and site placement processes. Nine interviews and a survey were conducted to gather feedback from the target group of 86 individuals. The data was presented in detail in Appendix C and analyzed to identify trends and areas needing improvement.
