Abstract
The following paper discuses findings concerning the background of student from the University of Ghana, Legon. This paper presents the student's economic, religious, educational, and family's background. In addition, the paper reports some of the students' beliefs on the sociology of the formal education they have received in Ghana. Some of the discussions are about the creation of a blended culture made up of Ghanaian styles as well as Western styles due to formal education.
