Abstract
This is a curriculum guide for instructors who will be teaching a three-credit course on institutional advancement for participants in the Program in Intercultural Management (PIM) at the School for International Training (SIT). The three areas in nonprofit management called "institutional advancement" which will be covered are: (1) resource development through fundraising, (2) identity building through public relations and education, and (3) human resource management specifically for board members and volunteers.
The manual contains an organized curriculum of lesson plans, content notes, exercises and instructions, class handouts, supplemental readings, evaluation forms, a glossary of terms, and suggested reading and resource references.
