Abstract
The product that I have developed for this thesis is a proposal to train Peace Corps Volunteer teachers in Botswana in issues concerning disability and in a rehabilitation strategy called Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), to introduce these PCV teachers to the concept of CBR Clubs, and to devise, with the PCV teachers, strategies for establishing such clubs in their schools and activities that may take place during club meetings. CBR Clubs, as it is proposed, would be school-based clubs that offer students an opportunity to learn about disability, discuss Setswana attitudes toward disability and disabled people, and provide services and care to disabled people in their communities. Students would be used, in a sense, to help the community-based health care workers of their communities in providing care and services for disabled people.
