Abstract
This study details the results of a survey of five and twenty year alumni of a six-week study abroad program attended during the high school summer break. The survey was conducted in two parts, a written mailing followed up with phone calls to participants who responded to the written survey. The survey's goals were to update biographical information on alumni, assess the impact of the experience as expressed in subjective answers by respondents to a literature-based survey, and evaluate alumni interest in formation of an alumni association. Ninety-Six of 1134 alumni responded to the survey, an 8.5% response rate. Of those, 20% were interviewed with follow-up phone calls. The results provided valuable data for the organization's marketing and development office, anecdotal data on the impact of the Summer Abroad experience, and confirmed alumni interest in formation of an alumni association.
