Moving Forward: A Youth Program For Cambodian-American Youth

Abstract
This paper will examine the conflict in Cambodia and the aftermath on the Cambodian population, particularly Cambodian-American youth. In focusing on youth, the substance of this paper will be a design/proposal for a youth program focusing on Cambodian-American youth. This youth program will provide participants with a variety of activities including training sessions in a variety of themes and skills-based workshops, leadership activities, dialogue sessions and cultural and social activities. The core of this program are the training sessions and dialogues sessions designed specific for the youth groups. The hope and goal is that through activities and learnings during this youth program, participants will gain skills to begin to overcome some of the challenges youth are facing.
