Abstract
This paper has been carried out with World Vision Mongolia working in rural Nalaikh area of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. It is about how the organization is dealing with its poverty alleviation project to help the poor grassroots people by increasing their income levels.
Many Mongols are suffering from poverty caused by the rapid transition from a communist system to privatized, competitive electoral one. The massive unemployment caused by the sudden closing of the coal mining made the people of Nalaikh poor and hopeless.
This study shows how the community development organization is helping the rural poor grassroots people in the area by doing remarkable changes in their assets, professions and income levels.
