Abstract

Diversity in study abroad is a mounting and increasingly concerning issue. Over the past 10 years the number of students studying abroad has steadily increased; however, the ratios of minority participation in these activities have remained consistently low. Although several industry leaders have devoted institutional resources to combat these problems there has been no theoretical or concrete change model established. Why is minority participation in study abroad such a rampant issue and is there a viable and practical solution?
