Abstract
The topic of the training is Utilizing Diversity through Awareness. We feel that because the world is moving towards globalization, more attention is needed to understand the differences between individuals. These differences may present themselves in the form of race, religion, national origin, family background, or gender, but all of them must be addressed and understood in order to create a more functioning and cohesive team. Diversity can be an asset to any organization or company if it is used correctly and consciously. This is the intent of the training. By raising participant's awareness, we are allowing them to become engaged in making real choices about diversity. Diversity is not always an easy issue, so we also want to create a safe and friendly environment for participants to explore their beliefs and thoughts.
